A small, light axe which can be easily carried inside your backpack or on your belt. Even with a small axe you can manage a lot: cut branches in the back yard or chop and split sticks for a wood burning fire at home or a camp fire outdoors. Ideal for light axe work, or for young children, such as scouts, to use. The hatchet has a 3 inch face and a 13½ inch hickory handle and the head weighs 1lb. It comes with a grain leather protective sheath.

Every Gransfors Bruks axe head is hand crafted by a professional smith who, when satisfied with his work, stamps his initials on the axe head.
